UTC Aerospace Systems is one of the world’s largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and defense products. We design, manufacture and service systems and components and provide integrated solutions for commercial, regional, business and military aircraft, helicopters and other platforms. We are also a major supplier to international space programs.

In 2012, UTC Aerospace Systems was formed by combining two industry leaders, Hamilton Sundstrand and Goodrich, creating an organization with key positions on a wide range of aircraft flying today and substantial content on various UAVs, satellites and ground and naval vehicles.

UTC Aerospace Systems’ Interiors business recently hosted Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-CO), Fifth Congressional District, at its Colorado Springs, Colorado location. The Interiors business unit designs, builds and supports specialty seating products including the famous Air Force ACES II® ejection seat system which has saved 620 lives worldwide since going into operations in 1978, and is operational on all Air Force F-15, F-16, F-22, A-10, B-1 and B-2 aircraft. UTC Aerospace Systems contributes to Collier Award Winner X-47B Unmanned Combat Air System

The U.S. Navy, Northrop Grumman and its supplier team – including UTC Aerospace Systems – have been honored with the 2013 Robert J. Collier Trophy for the development of the X-47B, the first unmanned, autonomous air system operating from an aircraft carrier. The National Aeronautic Association presented the award on May 29 in Washington, D.C. UTC Aerospace Systems is a unit of United Technologies Corp.

Office of Naval Research selects UTC Aerospace Systems to continue development of a UUV energy-dense PES propulsion system

UTC Aerospace Systems has been selected by the Office of Naval Research (ONR) to proceed with the next phases of the Long Endurance Undersea Vehicle Propulsion (LEUVP) energy program.  During these follow-on phases, UTC Aerospace Systems (formerly Hamilton Sundstrand) will continue the design and development of a Proton Exchange Membrane based Fuel Cell Energy System (PES) for a 21-inch diameter Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (UUV).  The work will be performed by the company’s ISR and Space Systems team.  UTC Aerospace Systems is a unit of United Technologies Corp. Announcing the Sensors Unlimited Warrior C2S

UTC Aerospace Systems announces the Sensors Unlimited Warrior C2S, the newest lightweight, field-ready Shortwave Infrared (SWIR) module and covert laser illuminator. The compact module locks into the front of a Canon® EOS 5D camera (Mark II and Mark III models) to immediately provide operators with SWIR imaging capabilities on the battlefield for day or nighttime use. The system enables identification quality SWIR imagery, even in total darkness, with a distinct advantage over visible, thermal and night vision goggle systems, with the ability to image through glass to provide target accuracy with enhanced situational awareness. The company’s EPP team specializes in designing, manufacturing, testing and servicing acoustic and structural composite products for both military and commercial applications. UTC Aerospace Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX), is a lead sponsor of AirSpace Minnesota’s new Aviation Learning Center (ALC), and the sole sponsor of the ALC wind tunnel. UTC Reports First Quarter 2014 Results

- EPS of $1.32 on sales of $14.75 billion

- Organic sales growth of 5%

- Increases lower end of 2014 EPS range, now expects EPS of $6.65 to $6.85

HARTFORD, Conn. – United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX) reported first quarter earnings per share of $1.32 and net income attributable to common shareowners of $1.2 billion, down 5 percent and 4 percent respectively, over the year ago quarter. Results for the current quarter include $0.09 per share of restructuring costs. Earnings per share in the year ago quarter included $0.11 of favorable one-time items net of restructuring costs. Excluding these items in both quarters, earnings per share increased 10 percent year over year.

UTC Aerospace Systems and AVIC Electromechanical Company Limited (AVIC EM) today announced the opening of their joint venture facility: Xi’an AVIC Hamilton Sundstrand Aviation Electric Co., Ltd. (AUAE) located within the Xi’an Hi-tech Industries Development Zone. The joint venture was formed to develop and manufacture the electric power system for the new C919 jetliner, built by Commercial Aviation Corporation of China (COMAC). UTC Aerospace Systems named exclusive provider of MRO services for JetBlue Airways airplanes powered by V2500 and CF34-10 engines

UTC Aerospace Systems’ Aerostructures business has signed an agreement with JetBlue Airways to provide nacelle maintenance for the airline’s fleet of 130 Airbus A320 aircraft powered by V2500-A5 engines, as well as its 60 Embraer E190 aircraft powered by CF34-10 engines. Under the five-year agreement, UTC Aerospace Systems will be the exclusive provider of maintenance for the thrust reversers and common nozzle assemblies for JetBlue’s A320 fleet, as well as the inlets, fan cowls, thrust reversers and common nozzle assemblies for the E190 aircraft. Turkish Airlines Orders V2500® Engines for New A321s

Turkish Airlines has entered into an agreement under which IAE International Aero Engines AG’s V2500 engines will power 25 new A321 aircraft. This brings the total number of V2500-powered A320 aircraft in their fleet to 110. The deal is valued at $560 million. Aircraft deliveries will commence in 2015 and continue through 2017.

UTC Aerospace Systems was awarded a contract to provide the Commonwealth of Australia upgraded wheels and brakes for their C-130 aircraft. UTC Aerospace Systems is a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX). The new UTC Aerospace Systems C-130 wheels and brakes feature the latest in technology and industry-leading innovation. The carbon brakes use proprietary DURACARB® carbon heat sink material that provides eight times longer life than the current steel brake. The DURACARB carbon also provides significant performance improvement in brake cooling time that allows aircraft flight crews the ability to depart tactical areas more quickly after delivering cargo. The boltless wheels employ a lock-ring design, substantially lowering maintenance time and cost, in addition to reduced parts count, when compared to traditional bolted aircraft wheels.

787 Component service agreement with UTC Aerospace Systems expanded

UTC Aerospace Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. and a key supplier of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner program, and Lufthansa Technik AG have announced a long-term agreement for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for UTC Aerospace Systems interiors products, sensors and integrated systems on the Boeing 787 aircraft. The agreement builds upon a previous contract between the two aerospace service providers and expands Lufthansa Technik’s capabilities as a licensed MRO provider for UTC Aerospace Systems on the Boeing 787.

UTC Aerospace Systems has delivered its latest sonar dome rubber window produced at its facility in Jacksonville, Fla. to the U.S. Navy, bringing the total to more than 150 delivered. The company’s Engineered Polymer Products (EPP) team has been the exclusive supplier of sonar domes for FFG-7, DDG-51 and CG-47 class ships to the U.S. Navy and allied navies for more than 40 years. A sonar dome is an acoustically transparent housing that surrounds the sonar transducer array, which together form the sonar’s sensor system. UTC Aerospace Systems showcased its Aerostructures business today when Rep. Juan Vargas (D-Calif.) visited its Chula Vista, Calif. location. The business unit designs, builds and supports nacelle systems, the aerodynamic structures that surround an aircraft’s engine, enabling more fuel-efficient operation and reducing engine noise, for commercial and military aircraft. The Chula Vista site is headquarters for the business unit, housing program management, central engineering, research & development, aftermarket and support functions, as well as detail part manufacture and a spares fulfillment center. UTC Aerospace Systems to provide Sunwing Airlines with service on major nacelle components for its Boeing 737 fleet

UTC Aerospace Systems’ Aerostructures business has been chosen by Sunwing Airlines to service nacelle components for its fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft. Under the five-year agreement, UTC Aerospace Systems’ Alabama Service Center in Foley, Ala. will perform maintenance, repair and overhaul of the inlets, fan cowls and small components for the CFM56-7 engines that power Sunwing’s fleet of 24 Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The agreement also provides the airline with access to UTC Aerospace Systems’ pool of rotable nacelle components, which will help ensure operational reliability for the airline. The Alabama Service Center is part of UTC Aerospace Systems’ Aerostructures business headquartered in Chula Vista, California. UTC Aerospace Systems is a unit of United Technologies Corp.

UTC Aerospace Systems has been selected by Airbus for Single-Aisle Aircraft Common Fuel Gauging System

UTC Aerospace Systems has been selected by Airbus to supply a common fuel gauging system for its single-aisle aircraft. UTC Aerospace Systems currently provides the full fuel gauging system for the Airbus A321 aircraft. This selection adds the A319, A320 and A320neo platforms. Initial production hardware deliveries will begin in Q1 of 2014. UTC Aerospace Systems Selected by Virgin Atlantic Airways to Provide Wheels and Carbon Brakes on Boeing 787-9 Fleet

UTC Aerospace Systems to provide Qatar Airways with a comprehensive suite of nacelle maintenance services

UTC Aerospace Systems has been chosen by Qatar Airways to provide a comprehensive suite of nacelle maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for selected Airbus aircraft operated by the Qatari flag-carrier. The agreement for services covers Airbus A300 aircraft powered by Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engines and A320 airplanes powered by V2500 engines built by International Aero Engines. The agreement between the airline and UTC Aerospace Systems’ Aerostructures business is for ten years and covers full MRO services, including scheduled and unscheduled MRO, with asset and on-site support as required. UTC Aerospace Systems Awarded the Boeing C-17 Globemaster IIl Landing Gear System Overhaul Services Contract

UTC Aerospace Systems has again been selected by The Boeing Company to provide landing gear system maintenance services in support of the United States Air Force fleet of the Boeing C-17 Globemaster III aircraft. Included as part of the agreement, the company will partner with Hill Air Force Base (HAFB) in Ogden, Utah supporting C-17 workload. UTC Aerospace Systems is a unit of United Technologies Corp. UTC Aerospace Systems – Motor Drives Systems Centre hosts Rt Hon Michael Fallon MP – UK Minister of State for Business and Energy

UTC Aerospace Systems recently hosted the Rt Hon Michael Fallon MP Minister of State for Business and Energy at its Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, UK facility on May 7. The visit was an opportunity for UTC Aerospace Systems to update the Minister on the aerospace work being performed at the site and to officially open the redeveloped Technology House. The facility has approximately 160 employees, and is a new addition to the Hemel Hempstead business community having recently relocated. UTC Aerospace Systems is a unit of United Technologies Corp.

Cloud Cap Technology Gimbals now to include HD

In order to provide greater flexibility for customers to address varied mission profiles, UTC Aerospace Systems has launched a new line of Cloud Cap Technology HD (high definition) TASE stabilized camera systems. The updates add HD imaging and HD downlink capability to the TASE 300 and 400 systems. The systems are housed in a 7.5lb, 7 inch diameter sphere making them ideal for both manned and unmanned systems and will be available for customer shipment in May 2013 (TASE400HD) with the additional products to follow (TASE 310HD, TASE350HD). UTC First Quarter Earnings Per Share Increase 6 Percent to $1.39, Up 16 Percent Adjusted For Restructuring and One-Time Items; Reaffirms 2013 EPS Outlook of $5.85 to $6.15

United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX) reported first quarter earnings per share of $1.39 and net income attributable to common shareowners of $1.3 billion, up 6 percent and 7 percent, respectively, over the year ago quarter. Results for the current quarter include $0.11 per share of favorable one-time items net of restructuring costs. Earnings per share in the year ago quarter included a $0.21 benefit from one-time items net of restructuring costs. Before these items, earnings per share increased 16 percent year over year. Net foreign currency translation and hedges at Pratt & Whitney Canada had an adverse impact of $0.01 in the quarter.
