Pratt & Whitney Powers Qatar’s Latest Boeing C-17s

Pratt & Whitney, a division of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), recently delivered eight F117-PW-100 engines to power two new Boeing C-17 Globemaster IIIs for the Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF). Boeing delivered the two aircraft at its facility in Long Beach, Calif. The new heavy lift transports join the QEAF’s first two C-17s, which were delivered in 2009.

Pratt & Whitney Delivers Final Production F119 Engine to the U.S. Air Force

Pratt & Whitney Military Engines today delivered the 507th and last production F119 engine to the U.S. Air Force for its F-22 Raptor fleet. The F119 Final Engine Delivery ceremony at the Middletown, Conn. Engine Center was held with representatives from the Air Force, Lockheed Martin and Boeing in attendance. Pratt & Whitney is a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX) company.

Embraer Selects Pratt & Whitney PurePower® Geared Turbofan™ Engine as Exclusive Power for Second Generation of E-Jets

Embraer today announced it has selected Pratt & Whitney’s PurePower Geared Turbofan™ engine as the exclusive power for its new second generation of the E-Jet aircraft family. Pratt & Whitney is a division of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

UTC Aerospace Systems Technology Supported Royal Navy’s Successful Security Operations

UTC Aerospace Systems provided a number of Maritime Imagery Manipulation and Storage (MAInMAST) systems to the UK Royal Navy. This system is unique in its ability to provide accurate, near real-time threat analysis.  MAInMAST, deployed by the Royal Navy in support of the Olympics, contributed to the successful provision of maritime security for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, allowing timely access to accurate intelligence and improved situational awareness.

Stellar 2012 for Pratt & Whitney PurePower® Geared Turbofan™ Engine Programs

As of year-end, Pratt & Whitney, a division of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), has announced nearly 3,000 engine orders, including options, for its PurePower engine family with game-changing Geared Turbofan™ technology. The PurePower engine order book includes commitments from more than 35 airline and lessor customers around the world. In total, the program has completed more than 12,400 cycles and 4,200 hours of full engine testing, including more than 460 flight test hours.
