Sikorsky S-76D™ Helicopter Achieves Certification in Mexico
Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. today announced that the S-76D™ helicopter has been awarded Type Certification by Mexico’s civil aviation authority, the Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil (DGAC). Sikorsky Aircraft is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX). The S-76D helicopter is the newest product from Sikorsky Aircraft. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded Type Certification of the S-76D model in October 2012, and the helicopter continues its envelope expansion as the first models move through final modifications for customer deliveries in 2013.

UTC First Quarter Earnings Per Share Increase 6 Percent to $1.39, Up 16 Percent Adjusted For Restructuring and One-Time Items; Reaffirms 2013 EPS Outlook of $5.85 to $6.15
United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX) reported first quarter earnings per share of $1.39 and net income attributable to common shareowners of $1.3 billion, up 6 percent and 7 percent, respectively, over the year ago quarter. Results for the current quarter include $0.11 per share of favorable one-time items net of restructuring costs. Earnings per share in the year ago quarter included a $0.21 benefit from one-time items net of restructuring costs. Before these items, earnings per share increased 16 percent year over year. Net foreign currency translation and hedges at Pratt & Whitney Canada had an adverse impact of $0.01 in the quarter.

Powerpack – Sikorsky’s long-standing Brazilian representative – will manage inventory operations through the country’s special customs system known as Depósito Especial (D.E.). This is the first Sikorsky Forward Stocking Location (FSL) in Brazil. The warehouse is centrally located in the city of Rio de Janeiro where more than 80 percent of Sikorsky helicopters operating in Brazil are concentrated. Sikorsky Begins Delivering Record S-92® Helicopter Order
Sikorsky Global Helicopters (SGH) today announced delivery of the first of 16 completed S-92® helicopters that the Avincis Group will use to provide transportation for its customers’ offshore oil and gas crews and for search and rescue. The Sikorsky team developing the CH-53K heavy lift helicopter for the U.S. Marine Corps has delivered the first prototype aircraft — the Ground Test Vehicle (GTV) — from the assembly line to the flight test team. Sikorsky Nears Completion of 15 UH-60M Helicopters to Fulfill Sweden’s ISAF Requirement
Sikorsky Aircraft, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX), is planning this month to deliver the final two of 15 UH-60M BLACK HAWK helicopters to the U.S. Army for further transfer to the Swedish Defence Material Administration (FMV). Sikorsky Delivers 500th ‘M’ Model BLACK HAWK Helicopter
Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. and the U.S. Army today celebrated the delivery of the 500th H-60M BLACK HAWK helicopter. The deliveries to date comprise 400 UH-60M utility and 100 HH-60M MEDEVAC aircraft, the latter used exclusively as an air ambulance by the U.S. Army to rush wounded soldiers to field hospitals. Also included in the 500 are 73 UH-60M aircraft sold by the Army to six foreign militaries via the U.S. Government’s Foreign Military Sales program.

Sikorsky Aerospace Services Expands In-Country BLACK HAWK Maintenance Team for Colombian Army
Sikorsky Aerospace Services (SAS) today announced the expansion of an existing contract that doubles the size of the in-country maintenance support team for the Colombian Army UH-60 BLACK HAWK fleet. The Colombian Army Aviation — part of the Army’s Combined Arms Team — has acquired Scheduled and Unscheduled Maintenance Services for its fleet of UH-60 helicopters to ensure sustained support for operations mandated by the Colombian Army. Forty-two Sikorsky- trained technicians will perform Phase Maintenance Inspections and 120-hour inspections at the Aviation Maintenance Base in Tolemaida. Sikorsky S-92(R) Helicopter Receives FAA Certification for Sea State 6 Conditions
The Federal Aviation Administration ( FAA) has approved the S-92(R) helicopter manufactured by Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. for Sea State 6 (SS6) conditions, completing the S- 92A emergency flotation system sea state expansion and bringing further mission capability to operators. Sikorsky Aircraft is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).
The FAA Sea State 6 certification was achieved on May 30, followed by certification by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). Certification by Transport Canada is expected soon.

PZL Mielec, a Sikorsky Company, Contracted to Build Eclipse 550 Airframe and Wings
PZL Mielec announced today it has signed an agreement to produce airframe components for Eclipse Aerospace, Inc., contingent upon the launch of Eclipse 550 jet production. Major components include the fuselage, empennage and wings for the Eclipse 550 jet. Sikorsky Aircraft has announced the sale of two S-300C™ helicopters with an option for four more, to IPTN North America, a subsidiary of PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI)/Indonesian Aerospace (IAe). These S-300C helicopters will support the Indonesian Army’s requirements to train more than 100 new pilots in the next few years. Bond Aviation Group Orders 16 S-92® Helicopters
Sikorsky Aircraft today announced that Bond Aviation Group, the British helicopter operator and subsidiary company of the World Helicopters Group, has signed a contract to buy 16 S-92® helicopters. The purchase is the largest one-time acquisition of S-92 aircraft ever received by Sikorsky Aircraft.
Líder Aviação buys three S-92® Helicopters
Sikorsky Aircraft today announced at Heli-Expo that Brazilian helicopter operator Líder Aviação has signed a contract to buy three Sikorsky S-92® helicopters. Líder will operate the aircraft predominantly to serve the growing Petrobras demand for large rotorcraft capable of transporting workers to offshore oil and gas platforms.

Sikorsky Completes Production of the S-92® Helicopter for Irish Coast Guard Search and Rescue Operations
Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation has completed production of an S-92® helicopter for operation by CHC Helicopter on behalf of the Irish Coast Guard. Equipped for dedicated search and rescue (SAR) operations, the helicopter will provide coverage for deep Atlantic Ocean missions, service Ireland’s offshore islands, and provide rescue cover from Cork to Galway on the country’s west coast. Based at Shannon, the new aircraft will replace the current Coast Guard SAR helicopter, a Sikorsky S-61™ helicopter, which has given 20 years of unbroken service.

U.S. Department of State Orders Three Additional Upgraded S-61™ Helicopters
Sikorsky Aerospace Services has announced that the U.S. Department of State (DoS) has ordered three additional upgraded S-61 utility helicopters, bringing the total number purchased by DoS to 29 aircraft to date. The three aircraft will transport diplomatic personnel in Iraq and Afghanistan. Building on the S-61 helicopter’s 50-year legacy of dependability, SAS initiated the S-61 Upgrade Program in early 2010. As Sikorsky’s launch customer, the DoS has entered into a five-year IQ (indefinite quantity) agreement with the option to purchase up to 110 upgraded S-61 aircraft. This IQ purchase agreement serves as the contracting vehicle for any U.S. government agency to purchase upgraded S-61 aircraft.

Sikorsky Shows S-70i™ BLACK HAWK Helicopter for First Time at Major International Venue
Sikorsky Aircraft will display an S-70i™ BLACK HAWK helicopter outside the UTC Chalet during the Paris Air Show. The international event marks the first time the new variant of Sikorsky’s proven multi-mission utility helicopter will be displayed to the world market.

Australia Selects U.S. Navy’s MH-60R SEAHAWK® Helicopter for AIR 9000 Phase 8 Program
The U.S. Navy today announced the Commonwealth of Australia has selected the MH-60R SEAHAWK® helicopter to fulfill the Australian Defence Force’s AIR 9000 Phase 8 requirement for a fleet of 24 new-generation, multi-role naval combat aircraft. The Commonwealth will acquire the helicopters with associated training and logistical support via the U.S. Government’s Foreign Military Sales program.

Sweden becomes first European nation to procure Sikorsky BLACK HAWK helicopters
Sikorsky recently announced that the U.S. Government has agreed to sell 15 Sikorsky UH-60M BLACK HAWK helicopters to the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration for operation by the Swedish Armed forces.
