IAE Inks New Engine Deal with CALC

China Aircraft Leasing Company Ltd. (CALC) has entered into an agreement under which IAE International Aero Engines AG will provide V2500 engines to power 11 new A320 family aircraft.

The new aircraft are part of CALC’s goal to grow its operating leasing fleet. CALC chose the V2500 to power its new aircraft because of IAE’s strong presence and relationships in China. It is a trusted and reliable engine with a track record of continuous improvements.

BOC Aviation Confirms Order for Additional IAE V2500 Engines

BOC Aviation awarded IAE International Aero Engines AG with an engine order for 13 firm A320 family aircraft. Deliveries are scheduled from May 2014 to December 2016. The new order brings the total number of V2500-powered aircraft ordered by BOC Aviation to more than 110.

IAE Begins Assembly of First KC-390 Engine

IAE is assembling the first V2500-E5 engines – selected in 2011 to power Embraer Defense and Security’s new KC-390 multi-role tanker/transport aircraft – in June. IAE is assembling the first engine to test (FETT) at the Pratt & Whitney Middletown, Conn., Engine Center. Civil certification for the new engine model is planned for third quarter 2014. The engine certification basis has been established with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Philippine Airlines Selects V2500 Engines for Airbus Aircraft

Philippine Airlines (PAL) has selected IAE International Aero Engines AG’s V2500 engine to power its order for 34 A321 aircraft. The V2500 deal includes a V-ServicesSM Fleet Hour Agreement (FHA). Deliveries are scheduled to begin in August 2013 and continue over a four-year period.

Spirit Airlines Expands Aftermarket Agreement with IAE

Spirit Airlines, North America’s leading ultra low-cost airline, and IAE International Aero Engines AG have amended their existing V-ServicesSM Fleet Hour Agreement to include coverage for 86 incremental V2500 engines.
